Ex 4:13

I’ve always heard it mentioned over and over again in church — the warning that if you get an obvious direction from God to do something, do it or he’ll send someone else instead, and you’ll have to bear whatever consequences you may recieve. I never really took it to heart until I got a phone call last night from a friend, telling me something that meant someone else had done my job(?) for me. At that point, I knew I’d ignored all the warning signs… previous conversations were not comforting sessions; they were a cry for help.

I’ve chosen to accept whatever reprimanding I may get from the higher-ups. It won’t be much, but it weighs on my conscience because I know I could have — and should have, in fact — done something earlier. From this point on it’s more about doing whatever I can to help the people involved and making sure things go well.

Man, I feel like Jonah. Kids, when you get a direction like that, follow it. You really don’t want to mess around with the Guy up there.

(: hey man, talk to .. well, the higher ups (in your term). i learnt, at many times we cant be the best we want to be for daddy J. and … that the past cant be erased no matter how we wish it to be . but for one thing im sure, that although we failed he’ll still love us. ’cause he’d rather have a terribly naughty kid than none at all. (; in no case am i saying youre terribly naughty, naughty is bad as it is already. sorry. i fail him quite a bit as well, and sometimes i feel like a hypocrite and an awful person who has no right to face him . but im sure as hell he still wants to hold on as well, you wanna take his hand ? past will be there, consequences to bear. but will you move forward with him ? cheers.

Sometimes the directions aren’t clear. In fact, they don’t look like any signal at all. I can’t blame you for missing them.
