I was looking at Microsoft’s Photosynth site before the inauguration ceremony and I figured it looked neat, but had no idea what it was really capable of until the day after. What you have here is literally thousands of photos, uploaded by professional photographers and bystanders alike and compiled into an interactive, 3D environment. When done on a scale as huge as this, the results are stunning. You can pan, rotate and zoom into scenes. It’s amazing.
