I honestly don’t know if I agree with this completely. Nice Avenir though.
That’s okay — I don’t think I completely agree with it either.
In fact, I don’t at all, reading it again, especially the bit about modest expectations. Think we were both victims of the “design superstar” syndrome where everything that comes out of the “Greats” are treated as absolute truth. Wonder what context he said in in though.
I rather the one Antoine de Saint Exupéry said—”Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away”.
